Lisa graduated from Baylor University with a B.S. degree in Education specializing in English. She continued her education at the University of North Texas earning a M.S. degree in Educational Administration.  She has taught at the elementary level, served as an Assistant Principal at the elementary and middle school level, and worked as an independent consultant for Region X Educational Service Center in Dallas, Texas as a generalist and Language Arts Specialist. Lisa has designed and conducted presentations at many educational conferences, including CAMT, TAIR, TCTE, TEPSA, and TXASCD, as well as school districts all over the country.  For more than ten years, Lisa trained teachers and presenting workshops in the areas of curriculum alignment, active learning strategies, alternative instructional models, higher level thinking skills, writer’s workshop, integrated instruction, communicating with parents, learning theories, proactive classroom management, effective teaching practices, and a variety others.   She has coordinated and trained first-year teachers and student teachers, conducted training of trainer sessions, evaluated teachers for computer competency requirements, appraised teachers (PDAS certified), coordinated Mentoring Programs, and participated in many other professional activities.
Lisa was a co-founder of an educational company, SALT Productions, Inc.  She created and co-wrote the company’s Shake and Learnâ series and served as Vice President, coordinating product publication and professional development and training. 
More recently Lisa served as the Coordinator for Language Arts and Social Studies in Carroll ISD then moved into her role as Coordinator for 21st Century Learning and Professional Development. She is currently the principal at Rockenbaugh Elementary School in Carroll ISD and is proud to be a Dragon!
Serving in the community and church is a priority to Lisa, as she has been the coordinator of a parenting program, director and teacher of children’s church, and served on various educational boards and committees.
Lisa lives with her husband and two sons in Coppell, Texas.
